A great feeling of relief...

Finally the wait ended. It was at about 3 pm today that I saw the results published--the result was in the form of a pdf file. My hands were trembling (fearing in mind the day of 2nd Aug 2010) on downloading and opening the pdf file and scrolling the pages of the document. Finally I saw my number---14018 and finally a great feeling of relief rushed through me......yah it was a great relief for
me, my family members and my true buddies……...

It was mere 6 months and 8 days( starting from 2nd August 2010 to 10th February 2011) in timeline but it was the longest wait for me in my life and the hardest time for me till date....But however I went through this phase of life which couldn't have been possible without the support from my family members and my special buddies.................
The special ones know that I am referring to them but one name I want to write is Ghaitu(its his nickname I gave during our study days in school time)...Thanks Ghaitu for the happy times among those dark days and also for making me feel that I am not lonely.......

Well you (whoever reading this post) may be surprised about what I am talking about of the past 6 months and the hard days I had as I haven’t mentioned about this in any of my older posts---u may be confused too.

I will be writing in a couple of weeks time about those days, the pains to start with and the gains to end with, the lessons learnt  and so so...........So if u are interested in knowing my story, keep an eye on the posts……….

Thanks for reading this special post of me….

Doctor-Patient Relationship In Nepal

Well looking at the present situation, I doubt if people now have the same respect for doctors as it used to be before. I can’t tell exactly the situation in other countries and rural areas of Nepal; but for sure in the urban areas ---- the patient-doctor relationship is definitely worsening day by day. The present situation in Nepal where anyone can do anything breaking the rules, regulations etc. is a key contributing factor to this situation.

Facebook and its impact on me

Well, how to start!!    Just wanted to know the day I joined facebook as to know my bondage years---first I tried by a facebook application named “When did you first visit facebook?” It came June 2008 but I felt it wasn’t the exact one (as always happens with most of facebook applications as they are for fun only) and so I checked my hotmail for “ Confirmation mail ” of joining facebook and then I got the exact date as “JUNE 07 “ And it has been about 4 years  of friendship with facebook.

MAGICAL DRUG

For me through my internship period till today (10 months of internship), the drug that I have found to be a sort of magic is 50% dextrose.  Well, commonly patients land in ER brought by their relatives in a state of unconsciousness or altered consciousness the GCS being 5-8 /15.  Just a brief history often reveals person is a chronic alcoholic and had alcohol the before night. At the same time, on doing GRBS, you get hypoglycemic reading (<60 mg%) at times I have also got as low as
