MEDICAL HISTORY.......AND LMP........

Its well written and said that “EXPERIENCES TEACH A LOT MORE THAN READING ALONE”……..

Well I haven’t enough experiences of examining patients , but with the experiences I have the most important thing I have learnt in diagnosing and treating a female patient is asking about her LMP(Last Menstrual Period) in history taking.,,,,,,,.BECAUSE.....

A)most of the symptoms she may be explaining  may be due to by pregnancy

B)medicines need to taken cautiously in case of pregnancy and the medicines (given thinking she is non-pregnant) may be hazardous to the developing fetus…......So whenever a female patient mainly of reproductive age comes with complaints to you, never forget to ask her LMP………………Thank you………………

Last day u had a misunderstanding with your friend and ended up having a quarrel or u were scolded by the teacher without any mistake or u saw someone beautiful or u had a heartbreak but couldn’t tell anyone!!!!!!!!!!! At times, it happens that u cannot share/talk about your feelings, thoughts and experiences; then it’s a good idea to jot them down in the form of words onto a diary. Don’t worry  about spellings, languages. punctuation etc as it will disturb the spontaneity of your thought flow. Initially, when I started diary-writing, it was just when

Doctor-Patient Relationship In Nepal

Well looking at the present situation, I doubt if people now have the same respect for doctors as it used to be before. I can’t tell exactly the situation in other countries and rural areas of Nepal; but for sure in the urban areas ---- the patient-doctor relationship is definitely worsening day by day. The present situation in Nepal where anyone can do anything breaking the rules, regulations etc. is a key contributing factor to this situation.
